Loogootee, IN — Early yesterday morning, a personal injury accident was reported at 12284 E 650 S in Loogootee. The incident was called in at 12:41 AM. Officers and emergency units were dispatched. Initial reports indicated a vehicle flipped over near US 231 and 650 S, possibly in Martin County. Upon arrival, officers found a Corvette overturned with no occupants inside and no immediate signs of ejection. The investigation revealed the crash was detected via an iPhone alert. State Police and emergency personnel thoroughly searched the area. MED-4 and SEFD units remained on scene until nearly 2 AM, but no injured individuals were found. Authorities are continuing their investigation, including attempts to contact the vehicle’s owner and individuals whose phones were left at the scene.
