Washington and Washington Catholic students will have their first day back to school one week from today, on Friday, August 2nd. This week on Focus on the Community, Superintendent Kevin Frank will give parents and students an update on what’s to come this school year. One of the big changes will be a new state law concerning cell phones in the classroom. Frank says each school will handle it a little differently.
As for why the state went with the new law, Franks says distraction is the big concern…
Once again, school in Washington will be back in session next Friday. Shoals will begin on Monday, August 5th. North Daviess will report for the first day on Tuesday, August 6th. Barr Reeve, Loogootee, and Pike Central begin on Wednesday, August 7th.
