Richard Joseph O’Connor, 63, of Loogootee, passed away on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 at his home.
He was born in Washington, Indiana to the late Ernest and Rose Mary (Smith) O’Connor.
Rick was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church – Barr Township. He served three years in the United States Army. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign War Auxiliary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Rose Mary O’Connor; brothers, Ronald Lee O’Connor, Philip Stephen O’Connor, Timothy John O’Connor, Charles Edward O’Connor and Austin Owen O’Connor.
Rick is survived by his children, Jennifer (Brent) Meister and Michael R. O’Connor; his siblings, Carrie (John) Shafer and George Ernest O’Connor.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic cemetery in Loogootee.
