The Loogootee Police Department issued this reminder to all Loogootee residents yesterday.
Please don’t forget to lock your cars and park them near streetlights and in front of security cameras. There have been multiple reports of vehicle break-ins, and the best way to protect yourself and your property is by locking your car when you are going to be away from it for a while, especially at night.
Keep your car placed close to a well-lit area.
Parking your car near or in view of security cameras.
Please stay safe, and always remember: if you see someone trying to break in, do not confront them; call 911.
