Kristin McGuire, a dual language immersion teacher at Washington Primary, has been honored with the Indiana University Armstrong Teacher Educator Award, making her one of only 12 recipients statewide. This award will involve her working closely with IU faculty and undergraduates in classroom and early field experiences. The Armstrong Teacher Educator Award program provides financial support for top Indiana educators, covering travel and lodging expenses for visits to the IU campus in Bloomington. Additionally, it offers a $750 honorarium for participation in discussion panels on current education issues. In April, McGuire was honored at the Celebration of Excellence ceremony for the IU School of Education.
