Network Indiana – A police chase involving Indiana State Police wound up with a man from Bloomington in handcuffs Thursday evening. An Indiana State Trooper was on patrol along State Road 37 in Monroe County when they said a silver 2006 Hyundai Sonata was driving over the speed limit. The driver was identified as David Cobb, 39, of Bloomington. He refused to stop when the police lights started flashing. Cobb was clocked at more than 100 miles per hour during the chase. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office helped deploy stop sticks to try and end the chase. Cobb drove around the sticks, continuing on State Road 37 toward Bedford. He later stopped his car voluntarily. State troopers say Cobb was impaired and a previously suspended driver. He was arrested on five different charges, including resisting law enforcement.
