Severe thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 70 mph and tornado warnings kept street and line crews busy Sunday evening. The storms left most residents in southern Indiana and northern Kentucky without power. Kentucky declared a state of emergency early Monday after tornadoes caused significant damage, with at least four fatalities confirmed. There is no official word yet on whether a tornado caused the damage in Daviess County. Power has been restored to most areas, but residents should remain alert as crews continue to clean up fallen trees and debris. A big thank you to the street and line crews for their efforts in restoring power.
