Ervin Wagler, 82, of Plainville, Indiana passed away at 6:25 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at The Villages at Oak Ridge.
He was born January 28, 1942 in Loogootee, Indiana to the late Fred D. and Martha (Graber) Wagler.
Ervin married Mary Kemp on August 31, 1963 and she survives.
He was a member of the Berea Mennonite Church. He loved working on the farm and enjoyed deep sea fishing during trips to Florida. Ervin cherished his time spent with his family.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, Fred D. and Martha Wagler; brother, Elmer (Kay) Wagler; brothers-in-law, Elmer Knepp and Alva Yoder.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wagler of Plainville; children, Linda (Reuben) Miller of Montgomery, Leon (Shelly) Wagler of Washington, and Jeff (Danielle) Wagler of Montgomery; siblings, Fannie Knepp, Clara Yoder, Laura (Don) Swartzentruber, Fred (Rita) Wagler, Rudy Wagler, and Jeanie (Mike) Guinn; sister-in-law, Sylvia Wagler; grandchildren, Lorissa (Darv) Stoll, Jessica (Collin) Swartzentruber, Weston (Chelsea) Wagler, Wyatt Wagler, Willow Wagler, Mya Wagler, Noah Wagler, and Ava Wagler; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Alexa Stoll and Carter Swartzentruber.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Berea Mennonite Church. Condolences may be made online at www.blakefuneralhomes.com.
