A former preschool teacher, Joshua Leduc, who faced child molesting charges, has reached a plea agreement in court. Initially scheduled for trial on Monday, the trial was canceled, and a plea agreement was reached on Tuesday, according to court records. Leduc’s arrest stemmed from incidents in August 2022, when a child reported abuse, and again in 2023, following another child’s report of abuse. He was employed at Bethel United Church of Christ in Evansville as a preschool teacher and was terminated after the 2022 incident. Following the plea deal, Leduc is scheduled to be sentenced on June 28.
