On Saturday evening, Vincennes City and Township firefighters responded to a residential fire on Raney Drive just after 5:00 p.m.
Crews found smoke and flames coming from the single-family home.
Fortunately, the occupants had already evacuated.
Firefighters rescued a distressed dog from the home and administered oxygen, after which the dog recovered quickly. No injuries were reported.
