With the anticipated visitors for the upcoming eclipse, the Odon Town Hall and the Odon Police Department have issued important information and recommendations for the community. Individuals are reminded to take responsibility for their personal property. It is recommended to use no parking signs, no trespassing signs, or other materials to prevent unauthorized parking on private property. Parking on public streets is permitted as long as vehicles do not obstruct access to private properties, sidewalks, alleyways, or fire hydrants. In the event that a vehicle is parked on private property without permission, residents are advised to politely ask the owner to leave. If the owner refuses, they should contact a tow company to have the vehicle removed at the owner’s expense. Residents are requested not to contact the police department for civil matters such as breach of contract or failure to receive payment. For such issues, they should refer to the following contact numbers:
Odon Police Department: 812.636.4321 ext. 4 or 812.636.8550 ext. 4
Non-emergency Daviess County Dispatch: 812.687.7200
Town Supervisor Josh Kidwell: 812.636.4321 ext. 3
Clerk Treasurer Mandy Wilz: 812-636-4321 ext. 2
In case of emergencies, residents are reminded to call 911.
