A small non-poultry or hobby flock in Allen County has tested positive for avian influenza. The flock, which has fewer than 100 total birds, is currently under quarantine. This is the first case of HPAI in Indiana since May 5th, 2023, when a non-commercial flock in Posey County was affected. The last case in a commercial flock was on a Daviess County turkey farm. While the control area around the Daviess turkey flock was released on February 14th, surveillance continues in the area.
