The newly opened Vincennes Teen Center welcomed its first visitors on Wednesday at the Old Town Players Theatre. The center, funded through the Hoosier Enduring Legacy Program and the American Rescue Plan Act, offers a safe space for young people to engage in various activities and programs. Renovated by local teens and volunteers, the center aims to provide a range of activities, including art, music, cooking, and reading, to help youth learn and develop social skills. The center will also host the new Vincennes Children’s Choir starting in June, directed by Lydia Jones of Vincennes Catholic Schools. Open daily from 3 to 6 p.m., the center offers transportation from schools if needed.
