Betty had 6 sisters, all are deceased with the exception of her sister Fern Monroe. Betty was a good friend, she had a strong personality, loved to dance, loved her family and loved the Lord.

Betty married Bill Link on September 25, 1949. Bill preceded her in death. Betty worked at Walks Clothing Store, Riggs Old Towne Apothecary, and Body Works. She loved her jobs and the lasting friendships she made with co-workers.

Betty was a member of First Baptist Church, Pink Ladies at Good Samaritan Hospital, the Missions Committee at First Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and enjoyed her GIFT class at First Baptist Church every Tuesday Morning. She volunteered at Vigo School when Barbara attended there and she volunteered in the Human Resource Department at Good Samaritan Hospital after she retired. Betty loved outings with friends, going to the movies, playing golf, and her standing Thursday hair appointments with Brenda.

Betty was the proud mother of Barbara (Jim) Bush, and the doting grandmother to Tim (Allyson), Rob (Monica), and Jon (Mike). Her grandsons were her pride and joy, and she was their biggest cheerleader at every sporting event.
