Mt. Vernon Man Arrested After Disturbance at Huck’s Gas Station

Posey County – On Tuesday evening, December 5, a disturbance at Huck’s gas station in Mt. Vernon led to the arrest of Rayce Liggett-Kueber, 20, of Mt. Vernon. Indiana State Police and Mt. Vernon Police responded to reports of a dispute lot near the gas pumps. By the time officers arrived, the individuals had left the scene. Trooper Hadley located the vehicles and a group of teens. Liggett-Kueber, the driver, was found to have a bottle of brandy in the truck’s center console. Liggett-Kueber underwent a DUI investigation, displaying signs of impairment, resulting in his arrest. During the arrest, he allegedly resisted and threatened officers, causing a minor injury to Trooper Hadley. Liggett-Kueber is currently held without bond at the Posey County Jail, facing charges including operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, resisting law enforcement, causing injury, intimidation, disorderly conduct, and minor consumption of alcohol. Toxicology results are pending.
