Discover Downtown Washington has some exciting updates and events to share with the community: Quick Impact Facade Grant Program: This round of the Quick Impact Façade Grant Program is coming to an end with its final round of recipients. But don’t worry if you missed out this time; discussions are already underway for another program in the future. Stay tuned for more information! Modern Boutique, located at 104 E. Main Street, is among the businesses awarded in this round of the Façade Grant Program.
Downtown Color Run: Get ready for a colorful event this month! Discover Downtown Washington will be hosting a color run (or walk) starting at the Cherry Ghost Coffee House and ending at the library. The route, which covers one mile, starts at 8:30 a.m. and finishes at 9:30 a.m. on September 23rd. Main Street will be temporarily closed during this event, so remember to park off Main to avoid getting blocked in.
Request for Proposals: Discover Downtown Washington is now accepting proposals for new businesses to occupy the vacant building at 207 E. Main Street. If you’re interested in submitting a proposal, please review the requirements on their website.
Discover Downtown Washington App: The organization has launched a new app that’s now live! If you’re a downtown merchant, you can list your business for free on the app. This handy tool allows you to upload pictures, promote events, create event maps for local users, and much more. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
