A multi-vehicle collision occurred at the Kerstiens Property Management parking lot on Mill Street in Jasper, leaving several individuals injured and substantial damage to the vehicles involved. A vehicle accelerated into the rear of an unattended vehicle, causing a pedestrian to be thrown into the air and land between both vehicles. The pedestrian was subsequently pinned between these two vehicles. Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene. The driver and passenger of V1 sustained injuries, with the driver suffering head and chest injuries and the passenger experiencing leg and chest injuries. Both were transported to Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Additionally, the pedestrian struck during the collision was initially taken to Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to Deaconess Hospital due to injuries affecting the neck and spine. The damages incurred during the accident are significant. V1 is deemed a total loss, while V2 sustained approximately $10,000 in damages, and V3 suffered approximately $5,000 in damages. The investigation is ongoing.
