A Ferdinand resident played a crucial role in locating the suspect involved in Tuesday’s stolen car chase. Following a call from a local resident who suspected the suspect had run through her yard, law enforcement agencies responded quickly and established a perimeter. The search operation received assistance from a helicopter provided by Clint Renner, equipped with Deputy Jesus Monarrez, who helped scan the area. The suspect’s trail was traced to a residence in the 400 block of East 6th Street. The suspect, identified as Brandon Gordon, 35, from Colorado, was discovered hiding on a screened-in patio and was taken into custody without incident. Gordon, who complained of injuries sustained during Tuesday’s pursuit, was transported to Memorial Hospital for medical clearance before being booked into the Dubois County Security Center. He is currently facing preliminary felony charges that include resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness, theft, battery, and cruelty to an animal.
