The City of Washington is currently welcoming applications for full-time firefighter positions. Interested candidates can apply online at www.washingtonin.us or in person at 200 Harned Ave. during business hours. Eligible applicants should be aged between 21 and 40 and possess a valid CPAT card for the interview. The benefits package includes insurance, clothing allowance, hazard pay, retirement plans, and a base firefighter salary of $52,460. An aptitude exam is scheduled for October 7th, followed by a physical agility test on November 4th in the morning and interviews on November 4th in the afternoon. No makeup dates will be available.
