GroceryGetterNation is making a significant impact in the community by supporting local school lunch programs. Since its establishment in 2018, GGNation has funded over 2,700 school lunches across five area community schools, namely Loogootee, North Daviess, Shoals, North Knox, and Eastern Greene. During the COVID-19 pandemic, GGNation implemented an emergency grant to cover the costs of student lunches, regardless of individual financial situations. As these funds gradually diminish, families are once again expected to bear the expenses. Recognizing this need, GGNation has organized the Summer Fun Fest on July 29, at Wagler Motorsports Park. This event serves as an opportunity to introduce families to the racing community, providing an evening of entertainment for all ages while raising funds to support GGNation’s mission. The upcoming ‘Gassers Under Lights’ event will feature the renowned gasser group ‘Straight Axle Mafia’ from Louisville. The event spans two days, with the main attractions scheduled for Saturday. Friday, July 28, 2023: Test and Tune and Gambler’s Race
Gates open at 3:00 pm, Test and Tune starts at 5:00 pm, and an optional Gambler’s Race follows Test and Tune.
Spectator Gate Fee: $7.00 (cash only); Test and Tune Fee: $15.00 (cash only).
Children 12 and under enter for free.
Saturday, July 29, 2023: Gassers ‘Main Event’ featuring Straight Axle Mafia, Gassers ‘Heads Up’ Race, and Summer Fun Fest
Gates open at 10:00 a.m., Test and Tune begins at 12:00 p.m., Qualifying rounds start at 3:00 p.m., Summer Fun Fest Family Activities commence at 5:00 p.m., featuring kids’ activities and vendors, Eliminations kick off at 6:00 p.m.
