Rex Allen Neighbors, 67, passed away on June 15, 2023, at his residence. Rex was born on March 29, 1956, and he is the son of Clarence and Gladys (Lockhart) Neighbors.
Rex was the youngest of twelve children. After graduating from Vincennes Lincoln High School Rex enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served nine years to his country and traveled all over the world. While in the service he worked as a dental tech. After his honorable discharge from the Navy Rex worked as a dental assistant. He then enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Vincennes University and upon graduation he moved to Indianapolis.
Rex is survived by two brothers, Dave Neighbors and his wife Bonnie, Rick Neighbors and his wife Brenda and a sister Debbie Fossmeyer and her husband Rod. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Yvonne and Mildred Neighbors, Shirley Merrimon and brothers, Bud, Claude, Jerry, Bill and Joe Neighbors.
Rex’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services held.
