Stephanie Wildman Chestnut, a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2023, in Evansville, Indiana, following a short illness. She was born on November 21, 1987, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to proud parents Steven Wildman and Lynnell Willis.
Stephanie was a woman who loved to laugh and found joy in the simple things in life. She had a passion for reading, crafting, and cherished her quiet moments spent sitting on her front porch. Most importantly, Stephanie put her family before everything else and constantly strived to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Throughout her life, Stephanie was always eager to help others and made it a point to support those in need. Her kindness and generous spirit were contagious, making everyone around her feel happy and loved. Her witty sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Stephanie’s strong bond with her family remained a constant and vital force in her life. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Chestnut; their preciously loved children, Aiden Vaughan, Aubree Wildman, Alexis Rogers (Skylar Conrad), and Amelia Chestnut; her mother, Lynnell Willis; her father-in-law, Alan Chestnut; and her mother-in-law, Janet Chestnut. Stephanie is also survived by her siblings, Ashley Marvell (Eldon), Nathan Williams, Angela Wildman, Megan Nieves, Jonathan Chapman, and C. Daniel Wildman (Deanna); sister-in-law, Amanda Steele (Matt); and brother-in-law, Adam Chestnut. In addition, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, as well as her special aunt Patty; and her grandparents, Justine Tedrow (Jim) and Bernie Williams (Mariam) and stepmother, Anita Wildman Mean.
Stephanie is preceded by her father, Steven Wildman.
Stephanie earned her Associate’s Degree from Wabash Community College, and was most recently employed by A&D Distributors and S+AC Creations.
Stephanie’s greatest pride came from her role as a loving and devoted mother to her children. She cherished every moment spent with her children, teaching them life lessons, and guiding them to become strong and compassionate individuals. Her love and dedication extended to her cherished grandchildren, Easton and Everleigh Rogers, from whom she derived immense joy and happiness.
Those who knew Stephanie could not help but be captivated by her loving nature, kindness, and sense of humor. There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son- Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. Washington, IN 47501.A service will be following on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M with Steve Dayton officiating also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
