Andrew Alejandra Quimbaya Espinosa, 20, was arrested on April 16th, around 6:44 a.m., at 3rd Avenue and A Street in Jasper for operating while intoxicated. The Jasper Police Department was dispatched to the area after Espinosa’s car went into a ditch. Upon speaking with Espinosa, officers noticed signs of impairment. An investigation revealed that Espinosa had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .1 and tested positive for THC. He was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Operator Never Having a License, and Illegal Possession, Consumption, or Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor. Espinosa was transported to the Dubois County Security Center. The accident was a single-vehicle incident, and no injuries were reported.
