Knox County Coroner Karen Donovan’s future was discussed at a meeting by the Knox County Council and Commissioners on Tuesday night. They unanimously voted to remove Donovan through the judicial process. The resolution will now go to Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan, who will submit it to a judge for review. Once reviewed, a hearing will be scheduled for the county to present its case. The judge will then make the final decision to remove Donovan from office. After Donovan is removed from office, the search for a new coroner will begin.
