The Washington Carnegie Public Library is gearing up for the 2023 Youth Summer Reading Program for ages 2 through teens to help foster the potential in the youth of our community.
This year’s theme, ALL TOGETHER NOW, encourages opportunities for early childhood literacy, social & community engagement, discovery, and a love for lifelong learning.
A high number of participants is expected with this year’s program now that every student in Washington has a library card.
Each participant will enjoy age-appropriate in-person programming, complete many hours of reading, and receive a completion prize of a free book.
The total program cost for the summer will be approximately $4,000, which is covered completely by contributions from donors.
